Avoid hot attics, freezing unheated sheds and places near heat sources or chemical agents. These extreme conditions will damage the inflatable kayak’s elasticity and weaken airtight seams. For humid areas, place desiccant packets inside the storage bag to absorb moisture, and tuck in a few dryer sheets to repel rodents and insects.
Finally, finish with standardized packing and regular maintenance. Store the folded inflatable kayak in a breathable fabric bag instead of airtight plastic bags, which trap moisture. Keep all accessories like fins, seats and repair kits together to avoid loss. During long storage, check the inflatable kayak monthly to remove accumulated dust and ensure no dampness or rodent damage.
